Dating Online: The Art of Attraction

Dating and relationship building can be fun, painful, exhausting, disappointing, exciting, or a combination of all of these. When it comes to online dating advice, what works and what does not? Do these tips and life skills actually work? Or is it just a bunch of nonsense? As with anything else in life, there are winners and losers. The winners are winners because they know something the losers do not. Dating online takes work and commitment. You need to not only know what you are doing, but then also to go do it. When you start out you need to accept that you are not going to get good results. Not because you are ugly or unworthy, but simply because you do not know how to form an attraction online. Here are some online dating tips to help you:

First pay attention to what you write. So many just skip over this part so they can begin browsing for potential matches. While pictures are critical, the text portion helps to seal the deal. Try to write something that reflects an aspect of your personality. Stay away from boring and generic stuff like how you went to school and are hard working and are looking for someone to chill with. This provides little emotional connection. Instead write something completely sarcastic, humorous, thoughtful, or different. Get creative an interesting. You’re not writing a resume remember. You’re writing a sales page.

The last part you want to focus on are the pictures you choose to use. Pick pictures that show you doing something fun and natural with friends and family. Then have someone from the opposite sex review your pictures to let you know if they are attractive or not. This is a good strategy because what you may think looks good might actually be a turn off. Lastly, stay away from images of you at a wedding, or in a tuxedo or business attire. People want to date you, not hire you.
