Make Money Blogging — Earn While You Learn

You have decided that you want to try to make money blogging.  When you are new to this and just getting started it is easy to become overwhelmed.  The key is to not feel that you need to know everything to get started.  This will only cause you to not do anything and it will delay your progress tremendously.  Learn enough to get started.  Don’t worry about all the details in the beginning.  Get your blog up and take it one step at a time.  Here is some advice to avoid “paralysis by analysis”.

1.  Concentrate on Content —  This is the most important thing you can do to get off to a good start.  The way to get your blog off and running is to get as much good content up as possible and work on getting backlinks to your posts.  These two things should be your total focus in the beginning. Put your head down and do as much of this as possible for the first 30-60 days.

2.  Decide on a product to recommend —  You started a blog to make money.  You will need to have a quality product to recommend and sell.  You can have a couple of products if you choose but no more than that in the beginning.  Your main focus needs to be getting up some good content and generating traffic to your site.

3.  Focus some of your posts on the products you are recommending —  This is what is called “pre-selling”.  There are a variety of ways to accomplish this. One of the best methods is to write a review of one of your products.  Another good way to do this is to share your experience with the product and how it has helped you.  If you recommend products that you have used and believe in it is much easier to do this.

When you first get started do not let yourself become overwhelmed.  Focus on what you need to do to get the ball rolling and things will fall into place.  Stay focused, be consistent and before you know it you will make money blogging.
