Koh Phi Phi is one of the many famed Thai islands that attract tens of thousands of visitors each year looking to get away from their cold and dreary home countries and experience some tropical refreshment. The combination of an outstanding warm climate, pristine white beaches and amazingly clear and warm waters are just a few of the things that have made Koh Phi Phi an island lovers haven. You can also enjoy yourself rock climbing, sailing, fishing and join in many other activities when visiting Koh Phi Phi.

Obviously anyone coming as a tourist is going to need a place to stay and the accommodation option on Phi Phi are copious. There are hotels, resorts and bungalows available for all types of travelers and for all budget levels from the $15 a night bungalows to $500 a night luxury resorts. Many of the places are also just steps away from the sea on their own private beaches, making them even more attractive to those looking to get away from their everyday lives and enjoy an island vibe.

If you are hoping to add some party life to your stay you can do that too on Koh Phi Phi. There is plenty of active nightlife on the island and many bars to choose from. These bars will provide you with music and dancing, plenty of drinks or a place to sit and chat quietly if that’s your pleasure.

There are no vehicles on Koh Phi Phi and transportation is limited to bicycles or your own two feet. There are also numerous longtail boats that can be rented to take you out on the water to get to your destination. In fact, for some resorts and beaches this is the only option as they aren’t even accessible by land.

If you are interested in coming to Koh Phi Phi I hope you aren’t prone to sea sickness as the only way to get to the island is by boat. You can get inexpensive public ferries several times a day from either Krabi or Phuket. In both cases you will arrive in Tonsai Bay, the main area of Koh Phi Phi. If you want to spend a bit more you can get a private speedboat from either location and these will drop you at any location on the island.
